Sorry I had no energy to write last week.
Today marks 31 years of sobriety for me. I posted this on Facebook earlier and one person commented that he wondered the difference from when I was drinking to now as far as my artwork goes. I had to think for a while on it ! The difference is that I was not doing much visual artwork and very little writing. I also think my awareness is greater now than it was then. Although I was living abstract as an active drunk, it wasn't until I was quite a few years sober that I took a class in design that dealt in a lot of abstract. I learned a lot in that one class. Well, it's been an eventful two weeks. Getting the odds & ends taken care of before starting back on my day job tomorrow. -- This past Tuesday I took mom to get her eye surgery done & the follow up visit on Wednesday. On Monday I got my taxes filed. Thursday I got my medical card in order to be able to drive the trucks at work. Here I also found out I have kidney stones & a hernia !!! Just great !
Friday I got some assistance with a utility bill !!! -- Now that I will be back to work, I can catch up on some bills !!! So exciting, :p ------ I do hope I can have the energy to get back to my book and some artwork. Time will tell. Hope you all are well ! Take care, -- Tom

Better late than never ! I had no internet access on Sunday. Monday was an errand/event filled day. So, here I am on a Tuesday morning ! -- Last week went well enough. I typed up some more pages of poems for my book. I am a little stuck on summarizing a few things, which is ironic, because most of my poems and writings are short ! No worries, it will come to me at some point. All the loose ends in my financial and personal life that I am taking care of before getting back to my seasonal day job may be having an effect on this. Hopefully, once I take care of some of them, I can have a clear mind to proceed with writing the summaries. --- Hope you all have a good week ! Take care,

It's been way too long that I have written on here. Life sometimes just takes us away, and leaves us looking for answers. I am still trying to find them. I have been dealing with my bankrupt status the long hard way of just trying to pay bills a week at a time. -- I had also been busy with my younger sisters illness & our mom's dementia. My sister passed on after a 14 1/2 year battle with cancer. Ironically on the 10 year "anniversary" of my son's death. I have begun to put the pages of my book together which will hopefully donate some monies to breast cancer research. Mom is in an assisted living home which my older sister found for her. I will continue to try to live one day at a time,and deal with what is dealt to me as well as find ways to resolve financial difficulties. It has also been hard to find the time to work on artwork, although, I have done some. For now I will try to post something here on Sundays. -- Take care,

Opening "night" is March 6th, from 4pm to 7pm.
I am also working with a songwriter, putting music to my lyrics.
I am still working on my book of poems that will generate donations
to breast cancer research.
These things with hardly any money. Something out of nothing.
